I'm all about making goals and trying to reach them and that includes our church. Been praying about what God the Father would have us do this

The office was closed last week and I took full advantage of it. For the first time since we planted the church I tried not to do any church
stuff. didn't work or even think about any messages, didn't make any phone calls,didn't blog or twitter, just relaxed and worked around the house. BUT I MISSED IT! So glad to be
back in the office today. So thankful for a job that I absolutely LOVE!

I've had several people ask why we're not having services on Christmas day and its a fair question. So I thought I'd answer it. Several
reasons:
1. We have so many divorced families which causes a problem for Christmas morning. Both sets of parents want to spend time with their kids on Christmas day. Dec 20, Choice Morsels
I love all the Christmas food but also hate it. Love the taste and hate the effects. There are so many "choice morsels" to choose from. When I
hear the words "choice morsels" I'm thinking fudge, peanut butter roll, ham, turkey etc etc etc etc. Getting hungry as I write this. And you know all of us church goers like us some choice
morsels.

Another great day at 5 Point yesterday. So excited about what God is doing. Some of my thoughts on the day:
* Did a message on spiritual gifts and people gave their life to Christ both services. Jacks me up.
* Really appreciate the people who get here early to have everything in place when people arrive.
* Worship was awesome. I love "Glory to God." seemed as if a lot of others do also.

Dec 14, African Baptism
While in Africa I had the awesome opportunity of baptizing 8 people who had given their life to Jesus. The African church really makes a big
deal out of baptism, as they should! Check out these pics:

I apologize for not writing yesterday. Was going 100 mph and never had a chance. Was up at 5:45 and didn't get home until 9:00 after Jacob's
game. Blame the staff, we had an exceptionally long staff meeting. :)
None the less, another great day at 5 Point last Sunday. Some of my thoughts:

Dec 8, Lepers mess me up EVERYTIME
On the last day of our trip we took rice, corn and soap to the leper Colony. This is my fourth time and it ALWAYS messes me up. I leave
different. I leave truly appreciating just how blessed I am. I'm going to allow the pictures to do my talking today:

Dec 7, I'm not all that courageous
April 12, 1987 was the day I made the trip from my pew to the altar where Pastor Kevin Childs was standing. I bowed down and begged Jesus to
forgive me of my sin and asked him to come into my life. I was literally changed that day. I'm not perfect, but Christ got all of me.

One of the most difficult things for me upon returning home is handling the incredible amount of blessings we have in America and the way the
majority of Americans take them for granted. In all fairness to Americans its all we know. We expect life to be this good. But what we don't realize is that 95% of the planet doesn't live near
