Jan 18, Thoughts on Sunday

Couldn't wait to share what God did yesterday at 5 Point.  One of the most amazing days yet.
* Most importantly, 10 people stood in front of God and everyone to admit they needed Jesus.  Love it!
* Countless couples stood and came forward admitting their marriages needed help and weren't where they needed to be.
* The music was incredible.  Tim has taken the band to a different level.
* Energy on the stage and in the crowd was some of the best we've seen.
* Starting the message in total darkness.  Spoke in the dark for first ten minutes or so.  Easy to do in a theater.
* People understood the analogy and when the lights were turned back on, they were listening to every word.
* I felt as if God used the words he had laid on my heart in a real and powerful way.
* I am convinced Jesus was glorified and pleased with what took place at 5 Point yesterday.
* The Kid Zone had over 200 kids.  Add all the volunteers and they had over 240 people.  That is incredible.
* We hit an all time high in attendance except for Easter last year.
* Parking lot was 110% full.  City parking lot was full.
* For all of you who are regulars, please start parking behind Robinson's funeral home.  More on this later.
* We are running out of room.  Staff will talk about starting third service tomorrow.
* Great group in marriage enrichment last night.  Really enjoyed the discussions.
* Dwain had a good group of teens and their evening service went well.
* I went bowling with the youth last night and had a great time.
* God is up to something big at 5 Point.  Invite all your unchurched friends and family to come and join us.

Some other thoughts:
* Convinced devil is annoyed with what is taking place here.
* Dwain out sick this morning.  Stephanie faced some tough family issues.  Both of Tim's children are sick. And I am 100% convinced all that ankle and stomach junk last week was nothing but the devil.  Please pray for your staff as we continue to lead this church.
Lives are at stake and were serious about changing this city for the cause of Jesus Christ.
* Having lunch with two pastors who have very large churches.  Seeking advice on how to transition into three services.  How to lead our church and staff to a another level.  Why?  Because what it takes to get to 1,000 changes when you get there.  Want to be prepared.  God will only continue to bless if were ready to receive the blessings.
* Enjoying this incredible weather.
* So thankful for every blessing in my life.  As I watch what is taking place in Haiti, heart is broken.
* 5 Point of Africa is doing awesome.  Had over 110 yesterday and have over 50 people waiting to be baptized.
* I'm going to start looking at prices this week for our trip to Africa this June.
* Have a great week and do something radical for Jesus.
