Dec. 30, X-mas Eve at Home With A Heart

On Christmas Eve a bunch of 5 Pointers showed up to serve the men at Home With A Heart.  Tim played a couple of songs, I led in a brief devotion and we fed the men a feast.  Clint Yarbourgh did his world famous smoked chicken and it was some kind of good.  Everyone brought some type of dish and we had plenty.  After the meal we gave all the men some gifts.  They were so excited.  Probably only present many of the men received.  After the presents we had a Texas Hold em tournament, no money involved.  Just gave all the guys equal amount of chips and broke up into three tables.  Several hours later we had a winner and gave away a couple of prizes.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success and truly show the real meaning of Christmas.

Letter from Home with a Heart

Dean,
We would like to thank you and your congregation for coming over to fellowship with us on Christmas Eve. Ya’ll could have been with your family members but instead chose to come out to the Home and serve, not be served. Your people showed us by example how churches function in serving God and others and how we can have good clean fun without the use of alcohol and drugs. As we have heard from Alex about the other things you do as a church we would like to thank you for your financial support, cause without churches like yours, us men wouldn’t have the second chance at life. Thank you from all of us.

Home With a Heart,

Personally signed by 16 men at Home With A Heart
