Nov. 10, Use what you have

I have begun writing an article for the Friday edition of the Easley Progress.  Thus far the manager has gotten a lot of good comments.  That is what he told me anyway.  We'll see as I get bolder with each one.  Anyway, he asked me to keep the article to 600 words or less.  That was fine with me but I hated counting all those stupid words.  Yesterday I asked one of the secretaries if she would count them for me because I was in the middle of something.  I could hear Tim laughing at me.  Told me to come into the office and he showed me where the computer counted the words for you.

Now before you begin calling me names such as moron, idiot, dumb turd etc.  Please know I didn't know the computer kept up with the number of words I was writing.  No one had ever told me.

I can hear some of you now, "you should have read windows for idiots" and your right.  But now you know how I feel when so many people come to me and share their life stories.  The first question I always begin with is, "How is your walk with Jesus Christ?"
And the second goes hand in hand, "do you ever read the Bible?"

The Bible gives us the answer to all of life's problems.  It is the road map of life.  And yet so many never open it.  Let me encourage you to open the pages of God's Word and quit doing life without his help.  Trust me, trying to count the words one by one was a lot harder.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

If you've never really read the Bible, start in the four gospels.  They are the life of Jesus.
