Hey, It’s Dwain (5pt Student Guy) the guest writer for the day on the man (except for the Clemson stuff) Dean Herman’s Blog. I’m so PUMPED UP to be able to share my heart about 5PT IGNITE STUDENTS. First off let me say what I’ve said many times…I am AMAZED and completely in AWE of where GOD is allowing me to serve to… “Reach people with the love of JESUS and teach them how to love like JESUS”. 

As I look back over the what has been almost a year now serving @ 5pt it is amazing to see how many students have started to come to IGNITE, how many have given their hearts to CHRIST, and how many have taken the next steps of baptism along with service. I believe the purpose of our student ministry to “IGNITE a Passion for Life, God, & Others” is happening. Just 2wks ago we had over 160 students from every area middle and high school to attend a back to school event called IGNITE THE FLAME. In that service there were close to 20 decisions to follow CHRIST. That will never get old!!! I believe this is only the beginning of what GOD’S got planned. Pray along with me that over the next yr. our attendance wouldn’t just be 160 but that IGNITE could see 160 students accept CHRIST as Savior and Lord (Eph. 3:20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,)

Also, I want everyone to know I love working with and seeing the heart of the IGNITE Student ministry volunteer’s. WOW!!! Each of them has a do whatever is needed deep love and passion to reach the students of this community. The things that go on @ 5PT IGNITE every week does not happen without their dedication and love. If you have a genuine love for teens contact me because we would love for you to come and serve along side of this great team of volunteers.
