Sept. 21, Tim's Thought's on Sunday
Hey Guys this is Tim. Dean asked me to write on his blog for him today, and my topic of choice is Dean's normal Monday topic,"Thoughts on Sunday." I thought that yesterdays service was a homerun! The band sounded great yesterday, Leslie did a great job on Mighty to Save, and well as normal Jennifer did an amazing job on I Run To You, hopefully I didn't bring her down too much by singing with her. I am absolutely amazed at how good her voice is, and just so you know, she's moving to Nashville the first weekend in October. Back to Sunday now, Dean did an awesome job describing how forgiveness can wear as down, whether it is us needing forgiveness, or if its us who need to forgive. Matthew 18 was where the meat of the message was at. Just as the King in the scripture forgave the servant for a debt that couldn't be paid back, Christ died so we could be forgiven for a debt that we could never repay. That speaks volumes, and should set the ultimate example of forgiveness! Here is a link to the screen shots from Sunday Click Here for All Scripture and Points.
Some other thoughts:
-The lobby is under going a major face lift as we speak, a lot of time has been put into this project so far, and some volunteers who don't even go to church at 5 Point.
-Had 600 people here yesterday on an absolutely disgusting day! Thanks to all the greeters who literally weathered the storm to help keep people dry with umbrellas. Volunteers like you guys are the ones who keep this place going!
-Did you know that we have a goal to reach 1000 in attendance by Christmas, we can get there, keep inviting and if your not start right now.
-Well I'm back to working on the floor
