May 18, Thought on Sunday

Today was a little different feel for me due to the fact that I didn't  teach.  But this allowed me to walk around and look at our church through the eyes of a visitor.  I checked out the children's area and sat in the balcony for a while.  I spent more time outside in the parking lot just observing.  Yesterday was a good day because Joe Sangle was in the house.
* Joe did an awesome job as usual.  This was the 3rd time he has spoken for us at 5 Point.
* Love Joe's passion and desire to help everyone get out of debt
* Always amazes me to see just how much God's Word talks about debt and money.
* Heard a lot of people talking about what a great job Joe did.  (THANKS JOE)
* Music had a different vibe today.  Nor real sure what it was.  I don't like it when Andrea doesn't sing.
* Really need to find some more female vocalist who can bring it.
* Think with me about Joe's first question. What if everyone at 5 Point was debt free?" Imagine the impact we cold have on this city?
* Saw & met several visitors who probably came o hear Joe.
* We will have a good crowd on Wednesday night for Joe's class.
* Kid Zone was rocking again.  Walked through several times.  We have some amazing volunteers over there.
* The kids seemed to be having a blast.
* The pick up seems to be moving better.
* Attendance was down over 100 people.  Why?  Because they knew I wasn't speaking and Joe was talking about MONEY!
* I hate it when people don't come because they think its a day off.
* My desire to win this city continues to grow and that is the reason for bringing in Joe.  The thought of our people being debt free so they could do exactly what God has called them to jacks me up.

Some other thoughts:
* If possible, you need to be here Wednesday evening.  Joe's class can literally change the way you look at money.
* Everything is free.  Dinner at 6:00, class at 6:30 and child care.  The notebook for the class is even free.  Just another way were trying to help our community.  If you haven't signed up, please do so at www.debtfreeeasley.com
* We need an accurate cont for dinner.
* Had a very tough conversation with some friends yesterday morning.  I was asked to go to the hospital and help plan a funeral.  The tough part is that the individual is still alive.  He has been given a very brief time here on earth.  Cancer has taken over his spine.  The cool thing was his spirit.  He is ready to go home and be with Jesus.
* I love what God has called me to do.  I can't imagine doing anything else.  But it is days like today when your preparing for a funeral, with the individual that being a Pastor can be really tough.
* My heart hurts for those who do not know Jesus.
* My heart hurts for those who have put so much trust in the all mighty dollar and believe that is there God.
* M heart hurts for the wives who continue to go to church and their sorry husbands won't be the spiritual leader of the home.
* My heart hurts for the thousands who are running from Jesus.  (Been there)
* My heart aches for the people in our church who do not understand the Jesus think of His bride right now?
* Just 12 days until I leave for Africa.  God work in me please.  Allow me to make a difference.
* Had an awesome group at Home Group tonight.  30 people.  Had low country boil.  Greg brown and Stephen Powell did an amazing job cooking our boil.  Our devotion time was great and the dessert following was incredible.
* Hope everyone of you have a great day and a great week.  Do something awesome for Jesus!
