I've been reading through the book of Acts during my quiet time.  Tuesday morning I started in Acts 15.

Acts 15:1
Some men came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the brothers: "Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved."

I almost got mad after I read this.  With everything these people had seen from Jesus could they still possibly believe you had to be circumcised to be saved?  Then another thought came to me and I got even madder, nothing has changed in the church today.
If you don't wear the right clothes, listen to the right music, read the correct version of the Bible, do church just the right way, you can't be saved.  HOLY COW!  Why do church people have to fight over such petty things all the time?  Why can't we concentrate on loving Jesus and teaching people how to love others like Jesus.  I love the way the apostle Paul put it in Galatians.

Galatians 5:12 
As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!

Paul is saying if circumcision will save you why not cu the thing off and be really holy.  Gotta love his thinking.
Heres the deal.  As a church let's major on the important stuff and let the minor stuff go.

Major stuff:
* Falling head over heels in love with Jesus
* Listening to Jesus and not the world
* Being a bright light in a dark world for Christ
* Sharing the gospel
* Being the man or woman God has designed you to be

Minor Stuff:
* style of music a church has
* what Bible they read
* what others think about you
* what kind of car you drive
* color of your skin

I could go on but you get the point and the point is very simple.  People have lost their JOY in Jesus.
Jesus first
Others second
Yourself last
