February 20, Bunch of random thoughts
What an incredibly busy week. The church phone and door bell have been ringing all week. A lot of great things happening at 5 Point.
The majority of people I know couldn't handle what goes through y mind. But, I'll try to share some of the more common thoughts:
* This week alone another couple's marriage is about to fall through. A Dad died, surgery on a back and a good friend diagnosed with ms
but turned out to be a viral infection. So much hurt in peoples lives. No more pain and suffering in heaven!
* Had an awesome week of meeting with God. Prayers times are really rocking.
* Preparing this weeks message was tough because I understand the pain so many people are dealing with.
* I'll be discussing how to move forward from your past.
* Going to Gaffney today for a former youth's second marriage. I performed his first. First divorced couple I've married.
* Continue to beg God to give me ideas that only He could give me on how to win this city for Him.
* Begging God to give us a building on 123. Praying over several.
* PMS, the man series starts in two weeks and is going to be awesome. Meeting with a bunch of guys next week to discuss power,
money and sex. Should be a fun meeting.
* The staff and I are leaving Monday morning and heading to a conference for two days in Georgia.
* Next week could be one of the most powerful worship experiences we've had. The entire service will be centered around life change.
40 people will be baptized d=between the two services.
* Had someone get mad and leave say they were never coming back last Sunday. A Mom wasn't allowed to go back and pick her child
up. We bring them out to the parents due to the mass number of visitors and children we have in such a congested area. Heaven forbid
we try and protect people's children.
* Another person left because everyone is being required to wear volunteer badges in the Kid Zone.
* Blows my mind that people leave over such PETTY stuff. But, we will do what it takes to protect our children and reaching the
unchurched regardless of what others think.
* That is just a little discouraging news, let me give you some awesome news. We've seen at least one person come to know Christ each
week since December. Attendance has grown every week but one. Life change is taking place every Sunday morning and evening.
We hit an all time attendance last week. The Kid Zone had close to 200 last week. Are you kidding me?
* Had lunch with Jacob at the elementary school yesterday.
* I began mentoring two Clemson football players yesterday evening. Looking forward to seeing them grow closer to Christ.
* Enough for now.
