February 16, Thoughts on Sunday

I am a little nervous every time I step onto a stage, (regardless of the size crowd) to teach God's Word.  But I have been extremely nervous with our current woman series, Fabulous.  I just don't think like a woman so its hard for me to try and get into the mind of a woman.  So I quit trying to do that years ago, but what I have tried to do the past couple of weeks is go after the heart of women.
There have been some serious heart transplants I do believe:

* Beautiful day yesterday.  Enjoyed the drive to the church.
* Saw a bunch of new faces again.  Saw some who hadn't been here for a few weeks also.
* Didn't feel as if everything clicked the way I like it to.  Can't put my finger on any one thing, just wasn't as smooth as usual.
* Went over to the Kid Zone to see my grand son and the place was jumping.  Set an all time record in the Kid Zone. 195!!!!!
That is incredible.  Thank you to every volunteer who makes the Kid Zone such an awesome place for our children.
* Really crowded in the foyer area.  Wish we had more room out there, but we don't.
* Worship was good but the band pulled out a new song and no one seemed to know it.
* Singing The Heart of worship at end of message was awesome.  Really brought the message home.
* Had one salvation in first service.  Woman actually came to me during invitation and I led her to Jesus at the altar.
What an awesome way to close out a service.
* Had two more salvations in the second service.  One was a young man.  Love it when your speaking to women yet God uses it to
   reach men.
* The invitation time for both services was awesome.  To see so many people, men & women bowed down in submission to Jesus
is an incredible sight.  A quick glimpse of what heaven will be like.
* Met with some of the people getting baptized on March 1 after both services.  That is going to be a day we'll all remember.
* We set a all time high attendance today.  Awesome to see so many people catching hold of the vision of this church and inviting
friends.  Keep up the good work, we have thousands to reach for Jesus.
* Sunday evening was a very powerful time also.  Discussed forgiving your spouse.  A lot of tears flowing.  Hopefully a lot of
  marriages being drawn closer together.
* Andy & Leigh Ann shared their testimony about how God has restored their marriage and how forgiveness played such a huge
role.  They just showed up one Sunday evening because they were splitting up and 6 months later they are sharing in front of the
church what God has done in their life.  By the way, Leigh Ann gave her life to Jesus 7 weeks ago.
* Went to bed last night at 9:00 and didn't get up until 7:00 this morning.  I was wore slap out.
* SO much more work to be done.  Just found out about another marriage that is in real trouble.  Never would have thought it.

Lord Jesus, show us how to win this city for you.  Show us how to literally take over this community with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
