January 26, Thoughts on Sunday
I was literally exhausted once I got home yesterday. I asked several people to pray for me before our worship services because I knew just how intense the message was going to be. God showed up and did some incredible things.
* The opening video nailed what I want our church to look like.
* Worship was awesome. Tim is working on finding more female vocalist.
* I believe the song following the message honored God because so many people were truly worshiping the King.
* Amazed how God continues to change lives.
* During the second service I had to regain my composure because someone I've been praying for over a year was
sitting on the front row and God got a half of him. He looked me in the eye (with tears flowing in his) and raised his
hand that he wanted to know Jesus. I was broken.
* Along with this young man were four others who gave their life to Jesus.
* We're gonna have a serious day of baptism in just a couple of weeks. Thinking about turning the entire service into life
change testimonies and baptisms. What a great way to honor God.
* The Kid Zone hit an all time high for a normal Sunday. 180 There were kids crawling everywhere. Kids crying because
they didn't want to leave.
* Things went great in the Kid Zone with Michelle not being here. Good sign that Michelle had everyone prepared.
* Thanks again to all you Kid Zone volunteers. COuldn't do what were doing without you.
* Had a bunch of visitors again yesterday.
* We'll be busting our all time attendance record soon. Keep inviting. Word of mouth is our best advertisement.
* When the invitation to get out of your seat and move was given, people flowed. Life change is happening.
* Ann is getting more people plugged in volunteering. Love seeing new people serving.
Sunday pm
* Wow is all I can say. We discussed the four seasons of marriage which was really cool. But it was after Tim sang
Don't Blink and we hit the topic of forgiveness that God broke some hearts.
* I asked everyone to pray with and for their spouse. First time a lot had ever done this. I heard the tears flowing through
out the auditorium. When you see grown men wiping tears you know God is working.
* Had several men come to me and say thank you for helping improve their marriage. Its not me, it is all God!
* Dwain did a great job with the youth once again. Great to see so many young people running around here.
* Deb did all the first place stuff and did awesome. I hate trying to lose weight.
* Went over to Lawson & Michelle's and held both my Grandsons after the service. It was simply amazing!
