The staff and I will be leaving at 5:30 tomorrow morning heading to Atlanta for the Catalyst leadership conference.  In my opinion, this is the best leadership conference in America.  I leave recharged and pumped for ministry.  The worship and speakers are incredible.

Besides how wonderful the conference is, why should we spend the time and money on such a conference?  Easy answer, everything rises and falls on leadership.  If there is one area our church and every church needs to improve on its in the area of leadership.  I love the way my favorite leadership author John Maxwell puts it,
"the toughest person to lead is always yourself."

So, I am attending so I can become a better leader.  I am reading John's book, Leadership Gold so I can become a better leader.  I am having a leadership meeting with key leaders in the church in a couple weeks to bring people along with me.  Everything rises and falls on leadership!

Pray for the staff as we try to become the best leaders we can so we can better lead those in our church.
