I've heard nothing but awesome reports through out the week about the 4th.  So many people complementing our church for reaching out and GIVING back to the community.  Again, thank you to everyone who made this day such an awesome outreach event.

I received an e-mail today that pretty much sums up our 4th of July event.  Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

It was so good to see you guys today! We missed you! I know how much you all wanted to come back for Friday, but, I'm glad you were able to stay and finish out the last couple of days of your much deserved vacation!

July 4th was a blast...and, we could feel you guys everywhere!!!!  Jesus was present in everyone, and everything, it was awesome!  I was disappointed because I left my camera at home, all I could do was pull out my cell phone, and tried to take a picture, and ended up...taking a couple of seconds of video....the people were always lined up as far as we could see down to the corner and beyond for the cotton candy! Lines were everywhere for everything!  First, the balloons went, then, the hot dogs, then, the animal balloons were gone, then, the drinks (we had plenty of water, though). Last ...we just had to stop making the cotton candy and snow cones...or, we would have never been able to get things cleaned up...we were still packing up when the fireworks started!!!

It was the comments when people would gently tug at your arm, to say, "this was a great reach out for your Church!" "Your Church has blessed our family in so many ways...I bring my grandchildren to your Bible School every Summer, and they love it! This is so much better than the Bible School...just look at the number of people you are reaching here, that would never have known about your Church, or Jesus, and His love! You must continue to do things like this!"  That man brought tears to my eyes. He wanted me to be certain to pass his message on to the Pastor!

It was like that all day & into the night...the stories...and, these are only mine...I could only imagine what everyone else has to say!

Tell Dean....again, his vision, his determination to obey God and do the "different"....again..."it was a God-thing" for all the things that could have gone wrong....everything went so right!

I'm glad you all enjoyed your vacation!  Now, we hope you are able to get that pool up so you can enjoy the rest of your Summer!
