April 7, Thoughts on Sunday

I've tried to start my thoughts on yesterdays services three times now.  Can't quite put it into words.  Let me begin by thanking every single volunteer.  Sunday mornings couldn't happen without you.  Keep loving on people.  The worship set was one of the best yet.  A lot more energy on the stage.  Great song selection.  Andrea added energy and vocals to the stage.  Looking forward to having Jeniffer back on the stage this Sunday.

I spoke without notes for the first time in many years of ministry.  My plans are to continue to do so from this point on.  As I study, prepare and pray through the week I'm asking God to burn into my heart exactly what HE wants said.  Then as Sunday comes all ow Him to lead me.

Felt as if we had two incredible services.  Despite the buzz from hell in the second service.  That kind of stuff really rattles me.

Thought the invitation time was a God thing.  To see hundreds of people committing to reading God's Word (our emergency/safety manual) for 40 days jacks me up.  Stick to it.  If you miss a day don't get down.  Pick back up and keep going.  Pray for God to reveal himself in a very real way through his Holy Word.

Numbers were down some because of spring break but that happens.  Well finish our Believe it or Not series this week.  Don't be late because the first song is going to be a lot of fun.

I've had numerous people ask me how I read and study the Bible?  In other words, what is my approach.  I'll share that tomorrow.

Meeting a friend to ride the triathlon bike course this evening.  Deb is still in Virginia so I'm a bachelor again tonight.  Worst part is my cooking.  Not going out to eat, I will eat something at home.

Plan on watching the game tonight and getting some rest.
