March 18, Fishing for men

The fishing has been good lately.  I caught these Friday before last and this is only two of the many.  We had a blast.  There something about feeling that tug on the end of the line that jacks me up.  There aren't many things that get me that excited.  But, there is one that takes me to a whole new level.  Jesus says it this way:

Matthew 4:18-20
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. [19] "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." [20] At once they left their nets and followed him.

When I see grown men abandon their old life to follow Jesus, ain't nothing in the world jacks me up like that.
As our walk with Christ grows we begin to have this desire to catch more for Jesus.  But the catch isn't a fish, but the lives of those around us who don't know the King.

This Sunday is Easter Sunday.  The most church attended day of the year.  People are more acceptable to coming than any other time.  Take this opportunity to catch men.  I can promise you this Sunday will be off the charts.  The stage already has a brand new look, the band is preparing some incredible music and we'll begin a new series entitled, Believe it or not.

Do everything you can to bring unchurched people this Sunday.  Don't get discouraged.  If one says no, ask another.  If they say no, ask another.  Pray for God to put names on your heart.  God very well may want to use you to help some one come to know the King.
