Tonight we begin something new at 5 Point.  The New Members class being taught on a Friday evening instead of after Sunday morning worship.  I decided to do this for several reasons:
1. Much easier on me.  Tough to teach two services and then step up and teach class.
2. People are ready to get home after worship, especially those with kids.
3. This will give couples an excuse to have a date night.  Everyone is encouraged to go out to eat and then join me at the church at 7:00 pm for dessert and coffee.
4.  We do not supply child care. 
5.  I won't feel so rushed to get everyone home.
6.  Much better time of fellowship.  Get to know each other.
7.  Gives me a good excuse to take my good looking wife out to dinner.

We have over 30 people signed up for Membership class tonight.  I'm really excited about this.  That is 30 more people who have bought into the vision and direction of 5 Point.  Looking forward to hanging out with all of them and answering any questions about the vision and direction of our church.
