January 18, Bad Weather

I love the snow.  I moved from California to Virginia when I was 12 and the best thing about Virginia was the snow.  I use to stay up into the wee hours of the night just looking at it.  This past Wednesday night was more of the same.  I had our back blinds open with the flood lights on watching it come down.  Deb, Jacob and myself drove around just enjoying the snow.

But with snow comes all sorts of cancellations.  Some of these cancellations get people pretty excited, such students with school.  The kids get excited anyway; not so sure about the parents.  Some cancellations can cause a great deal of trouble while others are just a inconvenience.

We're not canceling, but we need to make some changes due to more snow on the way.  We want KIDZ BLITZ to be an awesome experiences for our families.  But we don't want anyone trying to come if there are bad roads.  So, we decided to postpone KIDZ BLITZ until February 2.  Mark that down on your calendars now.  This might be a good thing.  Give you even more time to invite.

We also decided to have one service on Sunday.  Give the roads time to melt from this next blast.  We'll meet at 10:30 am.  Too be honest, I like having everybody together from time to time.  I hate it for the people who work with the children because they don't get to participate in a service.

If the weather is really bad and we have to cancel church (hear me - it'll have to be really bad to cancel) I want everyone to call Tim Winkler at his house - just kidding.  We'll have it announced on TV, posted on the web-site and a mass e-mail to everyone on the list.

Good chance tomorrow is going to be ugly, so spend the day with your family.  For all you married men, get your honey doo list caught up.  I plan to begin another book entitled Good to Great.  Looking forward to this one.
