November 16, Me and my boys

Last Saturday me and my boys had the awesome privilege of watching the Tigers beat Wake Forest in box seats. Mark Durham, a member of 5 Point, loves his pastor and gave me his tickets.  Thanks Mark!

As we came into the Tigers Den (name of box) it only took a matter of seconds before we chowing down.  There were ribs, salad, potatoes, green beans, bread and more.  Cake, brownies and candy forever.  I never saw any of the game because I stayed in the chow line - just kidding!  After we finished eating we eased into our seats (in picture) and watched the first half.  The Tigers looked great.  At half time there was more food.  Chicken tacos. egg rolls, hot dogs, chips, fries and more.  Just pick whatever drink you wanted and enjoy.

As much fun as I had in the box, the greatest part of the day was just hanging out with my two sons.  Andrew is 19 and attends North Greenville, Jacob is nine and is in the third grade.  I can't lie to you, there something special about spending the day with your boys.

Last night Debbie was meeting with the ladies at the church so Jacob and I had a date night.  He choose Pizza Inn and a movie at home.  We watched Surfs Up.  An added bonus was that Hudson came and hung out with us.
This afternoon Andrew and I are going deer hunting.  Thank you Lord Jesus for my boys.  I cherish every moment with them.

I can remember the last time I saw my Dad he asked me to stay a few more days.  Didn't want me to go.  I had to get home and planned on returning in two weeks to spend some more time with him.  Two days later Dad passed away.  My next trip out West was to conduct his funeral.  Enjoy every moment with loved ones.
