Doesn't seem possible but Christmas is right around the corner.  The staff and I have already began talking about how to teach the greatest miracle ever to our people.  I want to do something different than the Christmas story.  Not belittling the birth of Christ by no means but feel led to do something a little out of the box.  We'll be looking at what I believe Christ wants from us during the holiday season.  So we're preparing a new seres called reVOLution now.  The emphasis will be on the VOL. 

The key scripture will be:

Matthew 20:28 
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

In conjunction with the series we'll be doing 25 days of Christmas.  I want our church to reach into the community.  Each day of December we'll be doing something different to help those around us.  Isn't that why Christ came?  What better than to follow his example?

I know it is the busiest time of the year.  This may make us take our eyes off the Christmas rush and put them on the real reason for the season.  Think about some things we can do to reach into the heart of Pickens County and help those around us.
