September 10 - Mondays thoughts
The kick off to I Screwed Up has come and gone. We didn't reach our goal of 800 but I sure was proud of what God did through so many of you. We had right at 600 yesterday. Numerous salvations and a lot of encouraging remarks on the connect cards. I want to express my gratitude to all of you that helped the kingdom of God grow. Lives were changed yesterday and thats whats its all about. Now we must continue to pull the hurting and lonely people in so they can hear about the grace Jesus has for them.
I want to share with you the remarks on one of our connect cards. I'll leave off the name but its someone who has been coming faithfully for the past couple of months. ENJOY!
I was so proud this morning to be at 5 Point. As my family and I were coming into the front door (family first time visitors) the gentleman at the door invited someone walking by to church. This man had no shirt, dirty pants, unshaven, long hair. He seemed to be an unlovable and the man at the door was welcoming him to be loved. The man said he had just gotten out of jail and had a lot to do. The man at the door told him he understood but was more than welcome to come on in. I thought this was awesome and I'm thankful to be part of a church like this.
I don't know about you, but that gets me jacked up. May God continue to send us unlovables and may we continue to love them just as Jesus would do.
