Aug. 14 - Revolution Church

This past Sunday I was in Canton, Georgia at Revolution Church.  It was awesome!  I enjoyed just worshiping and not worrying about all the details of a worship service.  They meet in the town's theater (I like churches in theaters).  Their pastor, Gary Lamb, allowed me to spend three hours with him on Monday morning.  That is better than any conference you can attend.  I asked him loads of questions.  He gave me some really good advice and challenged me in a few areas.  I can't thank Gary and The Revolution enough.

As much as I enjoyed being in Georgia I missed teaching God's Word at 5 Point.  I've already been told by numerous people that Lawson did a good job, as usual.  Thanks for filling in again Lawson.  I never worry about what is happening while I'm gone.  Guess I better start worrying about the electricity.  Can you belie the electricity has gone out twice during a worship service and both times I wasn't there.  A-men!

Hope you've begun thinking about who you'll be bringing on September 9th.  The "I Screwed Up" series is going to rock.  Lives are going to be changed.  Be a part of helping others come to know Christ and fixing some problems in their life.  Begin to pray for God to lay people on your heart.  And act upon it.  Invite them.  If they say no, ask others.  Everyone needs to be here and bring an unchurched person with them.

Don't forget this Saturday is Lake/Baptism day.  We're having smoked chicken (Terry Whiteside style) and whatever else you bring.  The awesome part is that as of right now we're baptizing 12 people.  Praise God!  I am jacked up about that!
