I'm sorry I haven't written anything since last week.  It has been some kind of crazy around here.  The staff and our families went to the mountains for a get away and to do some planning.  It was great.  We've already got a heads up on the "I screwed up" series.  I can promise you, it's gonna be good.  Upon returning I've been playing catch up.  We started our Wednesday nights again so I wanted to be prepared for that and Sunday is almost here.  We'll be looking at how obedience matters in the eyes of God.  

I saw my therapist again yesterday.  I think this might actually help.  We talked about ways to help me listen better.  He is helping me to see how not listening can actually hurt my witness.  Turn people away from Christ and that is the last thing I want to do.  Scripture is pretty clear about listening:

James 1:19 
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

Just a few of the random thoughts I had during this week:
1.  While looking across the mountains of North Carolina.  WOW!  You did good God.
2.  Sure do love my family.  Awesome getting to spend time with all of them.
3.  Appreciate the staff of 5 Point more and more.
4.  Being a pastor is a blast (most of the time).
5.  I hate trying to lose weight.
6.  Started a 40 day extreme makeover today and swam 35 laps which equals 1 mile.
7.  Put my jeep in the paper to try and sell it.
8.  Miss Jacob (my 8 year old) while he is at Camp McCall with Terry and some other boys.
9.  Deb started back to work today.  She was NOT excited.
10.  I'm jacked about school starting because the I screwed up series will start right behind it.
11.  Studied scripture four hours today and prayed for over an hour.  Love hanging out with God and His Word.
12.  Hudson, my grandson rocks.  Gotta get some pictures to show you.
13.  Andrew is leaving for college Monday.  He'll be playing football.  Hope he knocks someone on their butt.
14.  Jacob starts football practice Monday.  He's only 8 and I hope he knocks someone on their butt.
15.  I miss knocking people on tier butt, and getting knocked on mine at times.
16.  My office is a total wreck.  gotta clean this thing.
17.  Go Tigers!
18.  Worship Sunday is gonna rock.  Praying for God to speak to people in a powerful way!
19.  I want to start listening to other pastors on a regular basis.
20.  New Spring helped me again today.  Thanks New Spring for all your help.
